Árnyak sorozat

Árnyak (Shadows) is a six-part painting series situated between personal and inherited memory. The figures depicted in the paintings are no longer alive, yet their gestures and movements continue to exist in my memories.
The series consists of two groups of three paintings. The first three recall my grandparents, whom I remember personally. The second three depict family members whom I know only through stories, or with whom I have too few personal memories to form a direct connection. Their presence nevertheless remains part of the family history to which I also belong.
The paintings explore a form of remembrance in which lived and inherited memories are brought together.
