Fragment

Fragment is a ceramic and steel work built around a broken circular form. Its surface is covered with furrow-like incisions that evoke ploughed earth and cracks in dry soil.
Raised from the plane of the wall, the work appears as a displaced piece of earth. The original circular form remains recognisable, while its continuity has been interrupted. The fragment thus carries both the trace of damage and the possibility of transformation.
