What we carry

The installation What We Carry consists of nine ceramic spheres. Each sphere bears a distinct form of damage: a crack, a fracture, a burn, or a gently opened surface. These marks refer to personal and collective experiences that leave traces on us while also shaping the way we relate to ourselves and the world around us.
The different states of the nine formally unified spheres evoke the complexity of shared female experience. The work explores what we carry with us — physically, emotionally, and across generations. In this context, each mark becomes a preserved trace, bearing witness to an experience that has been lived through.
