Every element of the installation Seeds of Culture is organically connected to the founding and history of the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin. While the burned stretcher frame symbolizes the devastation of war, the vegetation that seems to sprout from the rough, lifeless cobblestones commemorates the determined, innovative, and rebuilding individuals who rose from the ruins. The symbolic meaning of the work is emphasized by a quote from the founding director of the Collegium, Róbert Gragger: "I look back on a century in which the institute will take root, and I look forward to centuries ahead."
